Yaksharaj Sri Ghanta Karn Mahavir Yantra is worshipped for getting protection and safety. Lord Ghanta Karna Mahaveer is a guard and protector Jain deity. He was king and a warrior, soldier of the Himalayan Empire at his time. He protected religious people, castes, righteous women and unmarried girls from robbers. He protects tourists who visited Shri Parvat near his empire from bandits. He used his primary weapons, bow, and arrows, to protect innocents and he had a heavy club. He liked and loved the sounds of bells (ghanta) and bell-shaped ears (Karna) so he was named Ghanta-Karna Mahaveer (great warrior). He was very fond of sukhadi (a mixture of jaggery, wheat, and ghee). He expired and died fighting thieves while saving a group of innocent persons who were targeted for threat and robbery. Therefore He became Ghantakarna Mahavir due to his deeds (karma). He is respected as thirtieth Veer (hero) in the list of fifty-two Rakshak Devs or protector divinity. Ghantakarna Mahaveer’s most important temple is located in Mahudi.
