Bholenath is one of the many names of Hindu Lord Shiva and another name is Mahadev “the god of the gods”. Bholenath has been worshiped since time immemorial; Lord Shiva is Mahakal, ruler of time, lord of the universe.

Shiva has many names like Mahesha, Shankara, Bholenath, Neelkanth, Mahadeva, Rudra, and many more.
He is known and worship by different names. Shiva is called Bholenath because he is easily pleased and showers his blessings on his devotees without any complex rituals. Bholenath gives protection to any devotee with sincere devotion and a clean heart.

Bholenath is the most important Hindu god for the Shaivism and also the protector of the Vedas. Goddess Parvati is his wife and he has two sons Lord Kartikey and Lord Ganesha.

Maha Shivratri is a Hindu festival that is celebrated by people and they worship Lord Shiva on this day. People often fast on the night of Shivratri and sing hymns and praises in the name of Lord Shiva. It is believed that the human who fasts on this night and offers prayers to Lord Shiva bring good luck into their life.
